Logline:
A man and a woman each must decide if they want to remain stuck in their pasts or together take a leap into the future.
Synopsis:
STOP TIME tells the intertwined stories of Peter de Vries, a photographer, and Adrianna Maier, a theatrical lighting designer. Both are carrying heavy burdens of sadness: burdens that mutual friends of theirs believe each could lighten for the other. Over the course of 24 hours in New York City their lives circle, until they meet at the opening of Peter’s gallery show, which leads them both down an unexpected path.

Nelson Avidon played Don Jankowicz in the CBS series EAST NEW YORK, with Jimmy Smits, and he was seen on LAW AND ORDER on NBC in 2024.
Nelson has won multiple festival honors for Best Actor and Best Screenplay for his short film CONFESSION, also directed by Paul Schwartz.
He is a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio, and can be seen onscreen with Edward Norton in MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, as Police Chief Gurney in LIFE AFTER YOU, directed by Sarah Schwab, and as Christopher Lloyd’s son in the feature film RERUN.
Tara Westwood, a native of Manitoba, Canada, studied acting at The William Esper Studio and the Maggie Flanigan Studio. Her movie credits include PLANE (starring Gerard Butler), THE GRUDGE and QUEEN OF KNIVES, Her television credits include LAW & ORDER, FBI, and FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE, among others. Tara’s theater credits include REPRISE at Paradise Factory, BRANCHED at HERE and THE SET UP at ArcLight Theatre.
A passion for filmmaking led to her growing desire to get behind the camera, which she did for the first time when she produced the feature film DETOURS, in which she also starred. She has since produced the television pilots HIT MAN and HUDSON FALLS. Tara made her directorial debut with the short film TRIGGERED, which was at Tribeca, Woodstock, Chicago International Film Festival and many others. Triggered was nominated for a Hollywood Critics Association Award in 2023
Patty McCormack has been a presence in film, television and on the stage for over 60 years. She is perhaps best known for her Oscar and Golden Globe nominated performance as Rhoda in the 1956 classic film THE BAD SEED. She has appeared in recurring roles on a slew of major TV shows including THREE’S COMPANY in the 1970s, DALLAS in the 1980s, NYPD BLUE in the 1990s and both THE SOPRANOS and ENTOURAGE in the 2000s, and too many guest starring appearances to list.
Notable film credits include playing Pat Nixon in FROST/NIXON opposite Frank Langella., and Mildred Drummond in Paul Thomas Anderson’s THE MASTER.
